Sueetie.com is now 100% .NET 4.0! Wait a second. I’m noticing you don’t seem to appreciate the scope of that. Sueetie is an Online Framework consisting of several ASPNET applications, right? So this means that not only is the Sueetie Root Application and Core Libraries 100% .NET 4.0, but the Gallery Server Pro Media Gallery is .NET 4.0, the ScrewTurn Wiki is .NET 4.0, the BlogEngine.NET blog is .NET 4.0, and the YetAnotherForum.NET forum is .NET 4.0. Heck, even the Marketplace application is .NET 4.0.
Now let’s consider what that means for Sueetie Development. Any custom application using Atomo can now use the very latest .NET 4.0 technologies both inside and outside of any Sueetie Community Application. I’ll be releasing Sueetie v2.5 in the next day or two, which will include a .NET 4.0 version of the Gummy Bear Web Package as well as the Atomo Visual Studio Solution.
A .NET 4.0 Sueetie in Version 2.5 may now make sense of the recent crazy non-stop upgrade releases. We first upgraded YetAnotherForum.NET in v2.1, then Gallery Server Pro in v2.2, ScrewTurn Wiki in v2.3 and finally BlogEngine.NET in v2.4. Enjoying the latest versions of these great apps is a bonus. The real purpose of the upgrades was to bring us to a .NET 4.0 Sueetie, so it’s a very big day.
You’re not going to be seeing Sueetie upgrades every week or two like you did over the last six weeks, so you can upgrade your Sueetie site to v2.5 and .NET 4.0 and have some fun with it. I know I plan to. We are where we need to be now for a bit.
Just don’t get too comfortable. heh-heh.
