New England Code Camp 13 is nearly upon us, slated for Saturday, March 27th. I’ll be giving a presentation titled "Background Tasks: A Nutritious Part of a Complete Web Application."
Waltham is a 3-1/2 hour drive from Burlington, so I’ll be driving down late Friday afternoon which is my normal routine and staying at the Bedford Doubletree Hotel. Their advanced booking rate is currently $89, total $99 with tax. Interestingly I just checked the Waltham Westin is $87, $97 with tax which is amazing when you consider that the rate during Code Camp 12 in October started at $214. What a difference the time of year makes in New England. I still prefer the Bedford Doubletree because it’s only a few minutes from Waltham, very comfortable, free Internet, a warm cookie, and they don’t nickel-and-dime you to death. Below is the map to the Bedford Doubletree. As you can see it is only a few miles distance from the smiling face of Chris Bowen.
PLEASE CONSIDER JOINING ME FOR CODE CAMP 13! Since I’ll be driving down Friday and back to Burlington Saturday right after the circus tents come down, fellow Vermont Geeks are hereby officially invited to come with me. If you’re interested, you know where to find me.
