In Preparation for New England Code Camp 12

This post serves as an invite and reference for future Code Camps.  New England Code Camp 12 is nearly upon us, slated for Saturday, October 17th.  I’ll be giving a presentation titled "Would you like some Community with that Web Site?" on .NET Open Source networking applications and Sueetie.

Waltham is a 3-1/2 hour drive from Burlington, so I’ll be driving down late Friday afternoon which is my normal routine.  I’ll be staying at a different hotel this time thanks to the wisdom of my friend Tom Cooley.  Tom told me he stayed at a Doubletree in Bedford, very close to Waltham but at about half of the [obscene] Waltham rates.  Yeah, boy!  I’m locked in at the Bedford Doubletree Hotel for $112, which includes tax.  The Doubletree Waltham starts at $161.  The Westin Waltham starts at $214, plus the last time I stayed there I had to pay extra for internet access.  See ya!

Below is the map to the Bedford Doubletree.  As you can see it’s very close to Waltham and the smiling face of Chris Bowen.

The above info on hotel accommodations was the reference segment of the post.  What follows is the invite.  Since I’ll be driving down Friday and back to Burlington Saturday right after the circus tents come down, fellow Vermont Geeks are hereby officially invited to come with me. If you’re interested, you know where to find me.
